LEADER COMMITS OVER £1.5M TO PROJECTS IN THE OUTER HEBRIDES
Since the local LEADER Innse Gall programme began it has committed nearly £1.5m of grant funding to various community projects based throughout the Outer Hebrides and which contribute to various community needs.

BROADBAND FUNDING AWARDED TO FOUR COMMUNITIES IN THE OUTER HEBRIDES
It was announced by Cabinet Secretary Richard Lochead that the bid submitted by the Outer Hebrides LEADER Local Action Group for £310,300 to the Rural Broadband Challenge Fund has been successful.

FUNDING BOOST FOR RURAL
BROADBAND
€1 million
challenge fund to improve countrywide coverage
Rural communities will be able to bid for a share of a million-Euro fund to bring enhanced broadband to their
areas. The new investment which is being delivered by the LEADER 2007-2013 programme which supports small-scale,
community driven projects in rural areas, aims to improve coverage and bring faster broadband to rural
communities.
