The hostel will have 6 bedrooms all en suite and a variety of different rooms to suit different types of visitors there will be 2 single en-suite rooms, 2 twin rooms one of which will have disabled access one family room and one with three beds in the room. There will be an open plan kitchen/sitting room where guests can mingle and socialize. There will be a drying room at the front entrance where guests can dry their wet clothing overnight ready for using the next day.
The hostel will be at the south end of South Uist overlooking the Sound of Barra less and is less than a 10 minute drive away from the Eriskay ferry terminal where a ferry runs to Barra which makes it an ideal stop for those travelling the Hebridean Way either direction. The new hostel aims to provide affordable tourist accommodation which is currently not available in the area.
